This is the bomb. If you purchase a new Whirlpool washer, go ahead and get this metal hub. My washer was less than 6 years old and every time on spin mode it was trying to shake the house down. Put this new hub on, lubed suspension rods and calibrated. I have a new washer. When this washer finally goes, I’m taking my metal hub with me and going to go ahead and put it in the new washer day 1. Not going to deal with a plastic gear hub that is so important to a washer to function properly.

I wished I had found Ben's Appliance long ago. This part is so much better than the stock part. I have probably changed out 6 of the cheap plastic and the improved variety of hubs. This one looks like it will last quite a long time.
