Will This Work for my Whirlpool or Amana Dryer?

 

 

This is the Whirlpool Dryer Heating Element for Whirlpool dryers that have a lint filter on the top right near the control housing. Its essentially universal for all models of that configuration. 

Options offered once you add the element to cart include sensors on the back of the dryer, including all heat sensors (338134, 3392519, 279816) and a thermal fuse that regulates the unit shutting off from over-heating. 

As an add-on option not in the packages is the #279457 connection wire, if in case it has been burnt or damaged due to the failure of the heating element.

Will this Whirlpool element work in my Maytag or Amana dryer?

Yes - Whirlpool is Maytag's parent company, so many Maytag and Amana dryers use this same element. Contact us with your model number to confirm.

Is this an OEM Whirlpool part?

No - it is a brand-new aftermarket replacement, not a Whirlpool-branded OEM part, built to match the original specifications for fit and function.

Are sensors or a thermal fuse included?

No - the heat sensors and thermal fuse (parts 338134, 3392519 and 279816) are optional add-ons offered when you add the element to your cart.

My new element burned out after a few months. What causes that?

Usually restricted airflow from a clogged vent or lint buildup, a failed cycling thermostat, or the element touching the metal housing. Fix the cause before installing another.
