GE Washing Machine Main Control Board

Although the issue which my GE front loader was having was not covered in a video, Ben has very thorough explanations within his videos. My GE front loader was reporting "Door" error on the front screen. I removed the door switch and ohmed it out as Ben suggested. The switch did not show the correct values. I took the switch apart and found that the windings on the electromagnet were "fried". I ordered a new switch from Ben, installed it, and noted that there was a constant hum when the switch was activated ... it was at that time that the wife said "that is the noise it was making just before the Door error" .... I then order the main board, replaced it ... and all is good. The old main board must have been constantly energizing the switch lock, frying the first door switch, and would have likely fried the new switch if I had let it "hum" for any period of time. .... Thanks Ben .... hope that this helps someone else that may have a similar problem.

Replacement board was easy to order and arrived ahead of schedule. I had concerns when the replacement board was different than the original. Called the customer service number and immediately connected with someone who verified what was ordered and that it was an updated version.
