This set is our iteration of the DA82-01415A Samsung Refrigerator Moisture Kit that helps solve the issue of moisture build-up within the Samsung Refrigerator, causing the evaporator fan to make noise and bind up.

Other related/associated issues with moisture build-up may include but aren't limited to:

  • Water leaking into crisper/lower drawers
  • Ice build-up around the evaporator panel system
  • Water failing to drain into the rear catch pan
  • Ice build-up in refrigerator ice-maker
  • Refrigerator failing to cool properly in refrigerator cabinet (due to non-working evaporator fan)

Does this moisture kit fit every Samsung refrigerator?

No - it only fits certain Samsung models. Some French door, side-by-side and bottom-freezer models are not compatible, so contact us with your full model number before ordering.

Do I need this moisture kit if I'm installing the secondary heater kit?

No - not in most cases. The secondary heater kit is the core fix for freeze-ups; add this kit if you see heavy condensation or water tracking into the crisper or bin area.

What does this moisture kit actually do?

It extends defrost heat down into the drain hole, replaces the drain tubes (which can crack), and adds foam insulation to channel defrost water and reduce condensation.

Which defrost sensor should I buy with this kit?

It depends on your model - DA32-10104N fits many Samsung French door models, but some (like the RS261 series) need a different sensor. Contact us with your model number.

My fridge doesn't look like the one in the install video. What should I do?

Samsung uses several evaporator designs, so yours may not match the video. Contact us with your full model number and photos before installing so we can confirm the right parts.

I installed the kit but still get ice buildup. What should I check?

Make sure the drain line isn't clogged or frozen and the defrost sensor is clipped firmly to the evaporator tubing. If ice keeps forming, check the main defrost heater or control board.
