Is this an OEM GE part?
No - it is an in-house version of the GE dryer heater repair kit and wire harness.
What is included in the kit?
A wire harness with surface-mount cable tie, two 4-inch high-temperature cable ties, a 10-12 AWG ceramic wire nut, and an instruction guide with QR code.
What problem does this kit fix?
A damaged or destroyed wire running from the motor to the lower-right corner of the heater pan on GE and Hotpoint dryers.
What if I can't remove the old wire from the motor harness?
Splice it using the included 10-12 AWG ceramic wire nut. Don't substitute a standard wire nut - a ceramic nut is made to handle the heat and gives a safer connection.
Why did my new wire burn out again after a few months?
Usually the heater element terminal is heat-damaged. If the terminal on the heater pan is burnt or corroded, replace the heating element along with this wire or it can fail again.
Does this kit fit all GE and Hotpoint dryers?
No - it's for dryers whose heater wire runs from the motor to the lower-right corner of the heater pan. Some models, like the PTD60EBSR0WS and GTX22EASKWW, are not compatible.
