What comes in the idler & roller repair kit?

The kit has 4 DC97-16782A drum rollers, a DC93-00634A idler pulley assembly and a 6602-001655 dryer belt. The DC93-00634A listing on its own is just the idler pulley.

My dryer started squeaking again a few months after the repair. Do I need to replace everything?

No - not always. With the dryer open, spin the drum by hand to find a rough roller or binding idler, and check the belt, drum glides and lint buildup around the rollers.

Are these OEM Samsung parts?

No - they are made by ERP as exact-fit replacements of the original Samsung parts, not Samsung OEM.

Should I replace the belt and idler at the same time as the rollers?

Yes - while the dryer is open it's recommended to check and replace the belt and idler/tensioner along with the rollers. The repair kit includes all three.

Is the idler pulley wheel supposed to spin freely?

Yes - the idler pulley should rotate freely. If it doesn't turn, it's bad and needs to be replaced.

One of my new rollers makes a noise when I spin it by hand. Is it defective?

No - not necessarily. A slight sound can be normal as grease settles in the bearing, but if it feels rough or grinds it may be defective - contact us with a short video.

My dryer overheats after installing the kit. Is one of the new parts faulty?

No - that's unlikely. Make sure the vent line is clear and not kinked, the lint filter and housing are clean and the thermistor connection is secure, then check the cycling thermostat.

How do I check if it fits my dryer?

This is the full repair kit for your Samsung dryer if you are having issues with it not running or making noise during the drying cycle. 

Included in the kit is:

  • 4x DC97-16782A roller wheels,
  • DC93-00634A idler pulley the updated roller bearing (a must-have)
  • 6602-001655 dryer belt.

The kit can be bundled with the DC47-00019A heating element bundle for a complete overhaul of your Samsung dryer's internal components.

Fix yer dryer!

Eleven of five stars. Yup. Dryer started thunking, sounded like it was about to go through a wall. I was already planning an empty pocket from a new dryer. A video online showed how simple it really was, and even included the link for the repair kit. Came in the mail a few days later, and the dryer is as good as new. The kit worked and corrected the problem. I would've preferred the kit also included the idler return spring even if it increased the cost of the kit. Because of the amount of work involved tearing down the machine replacing the spring along with all the other parts in the kit at the same time just makes good sense.
