Do I need to solder this sensor?
Yes - desolder the old sensor and solder in this through-hole sensor with its pins properly oriented to the control board. Check afterward for bridged or cold solder joints.

After installing the sensor, my washer drains nonstop. What's wrong?
The board may still be in flood-control mode from before the repair. Press and hold Cancel for 10 seconds to reset it. Still draining? Check the pressure hose, connector and solder joints.
My washer still overfills or goes into flood mode after the repair. What else should I check?
Check the pressure hose and the small air chamber on the side of the tub. If that air path is blocked, kinked, leaking or holding water, the washer can flood or fail to fill.
Can I replace the pressure sensor on a GE front-load washer board?
No - on most GE front-load washers the pressure sensor is built into the main control board, so the usual fix is replacing the whole board. Check the pressure hose first.
