Description
The damper is controlled by the main control board and regulates airflow to specific compartments of the refrigerator, maintaining each section at its set temperature. When this component fails, the affected compartment's temperature can vary depending on the nature of the failure. A compartment that runs too warm or too cold can indicate a failed damper, and the part will need to be replaced. This can be a false positive if there is also a temperature sensor that is failing or has failed as well.
