What does my fridge need for this kit to work?

Two thick (14-16 AWG) 120V wires to tap into, usually at the cold control or thermostat. The kit's Posi-Tap connectors splice onto them. Without those wires, it won't work.

What does this garage heater kit do?

It's a 120V heater that helps keep your fridge's compressor from shutting off in cold temperatures, so the fridge and freezer hold their temperatures in a cold garage.

What if my fridge has electronic controls instead of a mechanical cold control?

It works on some, as long as there are two thick 120V wires at the thermostat or control board; others have no suitable wires. Send us your model number or a photo of the control box.

Should I get this or the Frigidaire garage heater kit?

Choose this universal kit if your fridge can't use the Frigidaire kit's piggyback connectors or its control housing is too small. It taps into two thick wires instead of needing an exact cold control.
