Which ice maker should I pair with this auger?

It depends on your refrigerator - DA97-13718C and DA97-18859A are the ice makers most often used with this auger. Contact us with your model number to confirm.

Is this the same as the DA97-12540G auger?

No - they're used in different Samsung refrigerators. Some models, like the RF28R7201SR, take DA97-12540G instead. Contact us with your full model number if unsure.

My ice maker keeps freezing up or binding. Is a new auger enough?

No - not always. Freeze-ups are usually moisture related, and the Samsung Ice Maker & Moisture Heater Kit is designed to improve defrosting and prevent them.

My fridge stopped making ice. Will this auger fix it?

No - not if the ice maker isn't producing ice at all; check the ice maker assembly and water supply. This auger helps when the auger motor or ice dispensing has failed.

After installing the auger, the ice maker won't slide all the way in. What's wrong?

Wires in the auger area may be blocking it. Make sure the ice cabinet is fully defrosted, then reposition the wires so the ice maker's tab clicks into place.

Description

This auger assembly contains all parts and components to fully replace your Auger Assembly in the case of it not working, or has been warped due to plastic melting in the defrost cycle.

This Version of the auger assembly is designed for Samsung counter-depth refrigerators. And will fit both French Door (3-4 door) and Side by Side units. If buying the Icemaker with the auger assembly, you need to purchase DA97-13718C.

For full-sized depth refrigerators (30"+ deep), please purchase the DA97-12540G model.

Included components are:

  • Auger Motor Assembly
  • Icemaker Fan
  • Icemaker Temperature Sensor
  • Drain Tube
  • Drain Heater Kit, Pre-Installed

This kit replaces 100% of the components within the auger system. Icemaker and ice box are sold separately. Consider purchasing SIL-4500 with the auger to seal the icebox when the auger is removed.
