The parts arrived on time and everything was included that I needed to repair my icemaker. I watched the video several times and took careful notes to make sure I removed the old one correclty and installed the new one as well. There were also printed instructions included with the parts to help. Installing the new parts was simple and straight forward.
The evaporator area was frozer over and required defrosting to remove the old cover. The video suggested assembling the new evaporator cover before installing. I suggest test fitting the 2 pieces before taping. I taped mine first and then needed to adjust the fitting which required removing the tape. Thankfully plenty of tape was provided.
I had 2 challenges when installing the 2 parts. The screw at the top left side of the air handler cover was difficult to allign with the exisiting hole. With patience and finess I was able to get it back in place.
When installing the existing ice bin, the new rubber gasket is thicker than the original factory foam gasket, making installing the mounting screws difficult. Again, patience and finess I was able to align the screws correctly. This required pushing the bin backwards to align the screw holes.
Removing all the shelves and items from the refrigerator is required, since the process will take several hours.
My refrigerator was making ice within a couple of hours and is working perfectly again.
