The whirlpool cam assembly kit, aka "Splutch" kit involves the transmission of the Whirlpool Washer. Over time, the assembly can wear down due to parts rubbing, causing many issues involving the washing machine not spinning, not agitating, or making a lot of awful noise coming from the unit. Its suggested to replace the entire assembly if and when needed, which is the entire included assembly.
