Description

This is the main control board for GE front load washing machines. The main board includes an integrated water pressure switch, and is not available separately as per GE.

WH22X36637 has been revised to WH22X37840

WH22X37840 replaces         WH22X29532,  WH22X30898,  WH22X32057,  WH22X32457,  WH22X34659,  WH22X35517, WH22X36637

Note that this board ONLY works for specific GE models, and may need programmed.

It is critical you verify the drain pump is in good working order! A failed drain pump will damage new control boards if not verified to be working!

The board fits the following models:

  • GFW650S
  • GFW850S
  • PFW870S
  • PFW950S

If your model has a different number, you will need to order the proper control board for it.

Pay for a few parts or pay more for a service tech to tell you it's broken...your choice.

Like so many, I also started with the main board which seemed easier only to find it was the inverter board. First, the inverter board was just as easy, especially when the units are on pedestals. I didn't even need to remove the weights or tip the machine. Second, I learned the hall sensor referred to in the diagnostic codes are pointing to a bad inverter board since that's where the hall sensor is located on these machines. Paid $350 for the 2 boards when a service tech would be $500 just to diagnose,THEN parts and labor.

LEGIT!!! Installed control board and success!!! KEY NOTE: once installed text parts to the number on card to get personality code. Very important you do this so control board knows what model it’s in.
