Description

If your Samsung Icemaker is no longer operating properly, replacing the icemaker may solve your problems. We now stock both the "Short" (13718C) and "Long" (15217D) ice maker for most Samsung ice makers made from 2013 through 2021. 

These icemakers are a common part of the ice maker not working failure, and are also prone to warping or damage when the ice making cabinet is overheated by a hair dryer or other extremely hot warming device that isn't the defroster.

Note that the DA97-15217 unit is longer, and features 10 ice cubes for full-depth Samsung refrigerators, and the DA97-13718C is for the shorter, counter-depth 8-cube model of ice maker. If you have any confusion or questions about what is right for you, send us an E-mail.

Works great!

I’m not sure what was wrong with my old original ice maker but it quit making ice. I thought maybe one of the plastic gears had stripped but after tearing it apart before throwing it in the trash, I ruled that out. Anyway, this new replacement ice maker solved the problem. The video was a big help but I still managed to break a couple tabs while pulling the old one out. I also tried to get some of the ice buildup out of the slide-in compartment using the steam from cups of hot water but ultimately had to put the refrigerator into defrost mode to get it to break free. The ice maker now works and I couldn’t be happier with it.

NOT SURE YET

Put the icemaker heating system in this new icemaker. Seemed to run very slow. Put the old icemaker back in and it seemed to run faster. Also sealed off the icemaker box with HVAC tape. I think the old one is now working just fine, but sometime this winter I will try the new one with the heater system. I hate Samsung.

Good replacement

Ordered a replacement icemaker for my Samsung refrigerator. Used their video to install which was very specific and helpful. Install the icemaker within 20 min. Everything worked fine and the icemaker works great now. Thank you Ben's for all you help and advice.
