Fitment & FAQ

Do I need this grease when installing new suspension rods?

No - new rods work fine on their own, and the Samsung rods sold here come pre-greased from the manufacturer. The grease and foam are an optional upgrade for extra damping.

I regreased the rods but it still shakes, or the bounce came back. What should I check?

Check the drive hub and basket bushing. With the washer empty and unplugged, lift, rock and turn the basket - a clunk, play or wobble points to worn parts that grease can't fix.

Which washers do the foam inserts fit?

Samsung top-load rods (the red inserts) and Whirlpool/Maytag rods. They won't fit GE suspension rods, which use a completely different socket and housing design.

What is included with the grease?

The 50ml kit has a jar of grease, 8 color-coded EVA foam inserts (4 red for Samsung rods, 4 for Whirlpool rods) and 2 clean-up wipes. It's sold as packaged; the insert mix can't change.

Do I have to replace my suspension rods if my washer bounces?

No - not if the rods are intact and only the factory grease or foam has degraded; this restores the damping. Worn or bent rods, or a worn hub, still need replacing.

How many washers can one jar service?

The 50ml jar holds enough grease to restore between 4 and 8 machines. A 500ml jar is available for servicers who do frequent repairs.

How do I use it?

Apply it in the suspension rod damping cups your washer has - skip spots with no cup. It slows rapid rod movement in spin. Replace degraded foam with the included inserts at the same time.

What are the grease specs?

Viscosity is 35,000 cSt for the 50ml and a 27,000 cSt target for the 500ml. NLGI 2.5+; penetration 220-250 (0.1mm at 25C); mineral base oil with polymer thickener.

This is the exact same recipe as the smaller, 50ml jar size which is perfect for a few washing machines. The larger 500ml tub is designed for appliance repair techs that need to refurbish dozens, if not 100 washing machines to prevent them from jumping around.

Product size: 500ml jar (internal capacity) / 1.1lb of damping grease. Product is 1.4lb including jar and lid.

Better yet, this works to restore shock absorbers on front load machines too! As crazy as it is, this is a one-size-fits-all solution to one of the most vexxing problems of machines.

The smaller 50ml jar is enough grease to restore between 4-8 machines.

I just put this on with foam replacement cushions a couple of days ago on a 10-year-old Maytag Centennial that was not spinning the clothes dry (at all). Everything working great now! Do follow advice and wear gloves.

Won't revive the dead BUT it sure does work if you catch it early on!

Something I see the low ratings not accounting for is they likely waited too long before applying this to their problematic washing machines. The drive shaft likely took a beating during the in-between time and I must wonder if they know how to properly load their clothes into the washer. (Put heavy material with heavy material and light/sheer with light/sheer.)The weight of the absorbed water plays a MASSIVE part in balancing a load. If you have 1 lux towel and 1 sheet you better believe even a speed queen will try tear itself apart. Worse yet- a single bath rug. Guys its a circle and if you ever went on a merry-go-round at a playground then you know what I'm talking about! Try get up to speed with only 1 person- you get tired and it won't go fast. Get 3 kids pushing and 3 kids on it evenly spaced and you're ready to try out for space force! (Or look up brick in washing machine on Youtube)
Anyways get this stuff and stop buying new appliances. Take care of what you have! I'm tired after a long day but I believe this deserves the credit for what it is. Its a game changer.

Very good damping grease

When I first applied the Bounce B gone grease to my suspension rods, it was not very sticky. However, I left the rods in a box for a few days until I had time to install them, and they became VERY sticky. I think the grease needs to dry out a little after you apply it. I hope it will last a few years. My original Samsung rods only lasted about 5 years. I now believe washing small loads with quick wash option is the way to prolong the lifespan of these rods.

This is a back burner project. We were so tired of this washer bouncing around we bought a front loader once I witnessed how quiet they ran. Now I want to use the top loader to wash my greasy, oily shop rags. Haven't had time to get to it yet.
