Description

This is a replacement for the Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator dampener assembly that can suffer problems like a bad motor, or damaged dampener causing the refrigerator cabinet to not cool properly. This is an aftermarket version manufactured by Choice Parts. It is an exact-OEM spec at a much improved price. The assembly comes with the motor assembly and styrofoam insulation, and is a drop-in replacement for the OEM 242303001 assembly.

It Does The Job

It works but I have to have the settings at the coldest, both the refrigerator & freezer controls. I didn't see any means of adjustment.

Frigidaire Refrigerator Damper Asm

Great video to troubleshoot cooling issues with Frigidaire Classic Series refrigerator. Ordered a damper valve according to the video. Found out that part number is not valid for all Classic series refrigerator. Was able to return. Positive experience overall. thx.
